Since April 2015 it is a contractual requirement for GMS practices to publish on their practice websites by 31st March each year the mean net earnings of partners, salaried GP’s and any locum who has worked in the practice for over six months.
Alongside the mean figure, practices are required to publish the number of full and part-time GP’s in the practice
Broad Lane Surgery Average Earning per GP
All GP practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g. average pay) for GP’s working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.
The average pay for GPs working in Broad Lane Surgery in the last financial year was £113,580 before tax and National Insurance. This for 1 full time GP and 1 locum GP who worked in the practice for more than six months.
The GMS Contract provides further details of how these figures are calculated and the exact items to include see pages 10 to 16 of the following link for a fully detailed explanation of this: http://www.nhsemployers.org/~/media/Employers/Documents/Primary%20care%20contracts/GMS/GMS%20guidance%202010-present/2015-16/201516%20GMS%20Guidance.pdf
